If you have never gotten around to dropping by this place, just do it and check it out!!!! It could be gone tomorrow or it could be your new favorite place in the 2020s. I have seen such an array of music from seniors and swing to rave to striptease? Yeah, it is all here, not the clean version of anything....
Also, the spaghetti is oddly the best thing on the menu, and it is good!
The hands down worse thing is that there is only one bathroom stall in the whole establishment for women, and I have been there when there was a very long wait, or worse, that one toilet was out of order... -

I have eaten here in past years always for lunch with my business associates. I returned here again two days in a row with my business associates for some more outdoor lunch. We all shared a pitcher of the Lagunitas IPA draft beer for $19. The first day I enjoyed my Santa Cruz sandwich with French fries for $13. Jenn divided up our lunches into 5 checks. My lunch bill was only $15.30 less gratuities. This is a good value.
The five of us returned the next day for another pitcher of Lagunitas IPA draft beer for $19 and some more sandwiches. This time Dawn divided our lunches into 5 checks. My check was $15.93 less gratuities. We really like this place because the lunches are reasonable, table service is great and we can eat outside under the sun. We will return here again next year. -

Been to the People's Disco twice here and it was so fun! Definitely gets super crowded but a great place to hang out and have fun dancing. The bartenders are great and the space is fantastic. It's like a house-style building with a covered "outdoor" type area that feels super comfortable. I look forward to going back and trying out the food and bocci ball!

Bocci's is tough to classify, at first you think dive bar as its dark and drinks are well priced. But then you add food service (usually understaffed) and I start thinking pub like or restaurant. Then you walk out back and there are Bocci ball courts, and they often have live music. Even the Do-rights burlesque troop dances here a couple times each month. I guess the best definition is fun! Bocci's is just a fun place!
The bar is well stocked and like I mentioned, the prices are quite good compared to other Santa Cruz spots. Lots of locals hang out here. Service is what you would expect from a dive, you really have to be good at catching the bartenders eye to get a drink on busy nights.
The food is pretty damn good I would say. My gripe here is that there is usually only one or two waitresses and they try to bounce you around a lot before you can actually order. If you manage to get ahold of one of them, the fish tacos are great. I also enjoy the beef and grilled onion sliders. My wife usually goes for the skirt steak salad and I can confirm from the bites I sneak that it is quite good.
I come down here a couple times a month for some food, drinks, and fun. Give em a try! -

We came recently for the Friday night jazz music & dinner. The place was not busy. 3-4 people in the bar & about 16 people in the back where the band was. It started out good with someone taking my drink order right away (my wife was going to arrive later). Then everything started going downhill. I ordered a simple well drink. It took over 15 minutes & was very weak! (Easy to notice as there were only two ingredients.) And, remember the bar was almost empty. Then I ordered an appetizer. It actually came in a reasonable time ~ 10 minutes, and it was good. After my wife arrived, we placed our food order and a glass of wine for my wife. The food - we each got a burger - arrived BEFORE the glass of wine! The burgers were just ok. Very plain & needed seasoning. We had to ask for napkins & for salt! We NEVER got any silverware. When the food came, I ordered another well drink. This time the simple drink took about half an hour! And, it was very weak again! Then my wife ordered another glass of wine. This time it took about 20-minutes for the wine to arrive! And by now several people had left, so they were definitely not busy.
The menu is short without many choices.
I would definitely NOT recommend this place.
